About Pat Betcher, LMT
Pat Betcher started The Massage Place in March 2001.
She studied massage at Virginia Career Institute, Virginia Beach, VA
where she was trained in Swedish & deep tissue massage, reflexology,
pregnancy massage, Shiatsu, condition & injury treatments,
triggerpoint & myofascial release technique, Indian Head Massage,
sports & seated chair massage and spa services.
She is licensed by the Virginia Board of Nursing as well as
nationally certified. She also taught Massage Therapy classes at
Virginia Career Institute for 5 years, and is on the advisory board
for Massage Therapy at Tidewater Tech.
Since starting The Massage Place, Pat has developed and is now
managing its growing Spa Services program which currently offers
facial massage, back treatments, Raindrop Therapy, salt glows and
stone massage.
One of Pat’s most important goals in doing massage is to educate her
clients on WHY they need to practice preventative health care rather
than waiting until something is wrong. She loves her profession and the
fact that she is able to help people and contribute to their well
being. “I always wanted to make a difference … by doing massage, I
do that every day in my clients’ lives.”
